Welcome to the October newsletter from Physical Therapy Advantage.

October is National Physical Therapy Month (NPTM)

We want to recognize our team members and their work to improve our patients' lives by optimizing movement. We love what we do!

We are celebrating all month long!

We are collecting non-perishable food for the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry.  Drop by to donate food.  We would love to re-connect with you.

Saturday, October 12 - FREE Community Health Fair - at the Cornerstone Community Baptist Church at 307 Banbury Rd. in North Aurora.  Walk in to have  chek your blood pressure, heart rate, body mass index, posture, balance and walking analysis.  Call 630-892-8003 with questions.

On Tuesday, October 29th from 6:30-7:30, is our annual STUDENT NIGHT!  Students who are interested in pursuing a career in physical therapy are welcome to attend a short presentation with a question/answer session.  Register to attend the presentation by calling 630-892-8003.

Following are our upcoming workshops: 

  • Thursday, October 24 - Shoulder workshop at our clinic from 6:30 -7:30pm.  Are you having shoulder pain?  Do your shoulders hurt when reaching overhead?  Do you have pain in your shoulders at night?  Come to this FREE workshop to learn the four common causes of shoulder pain and what successful treatment looks like.   • Saturday, November 2 - Shoulder workshop held at Batavia Park District 10:00-11:00am.  Call 630-879-5235 to register for the $5 workshop 402047-1A
  • Thursday, November 14 - Low Back and Sciatica workshop at our clinic from 6:30pm-7:30pm.  Are you suffering from low back pain or do you have pain that radiates down one of your legs?  This is the workshop for you.  Please call to register for the FREE workshop by calling 630-892-8003.
