Osteoporosis is a common condition that can affect people as early as 50 years old. It’s a “silent disease”, meaning you can’t feel you have it but it leaves you very vulnerable to fall-related fractures. If you have osteoporosis, working with a Physical Therapist to improve bone mass, agility, muscular strength, aerobic capacity and balance can help to improve your bone health and minimize your risk of suffering a fall.
