Greetings

Welcome to the November newsletter from Physical Therapy Advantage.

Happy Thanksgiving month!

The end of the year is quickly approaching, it seems unbelievable, doesn't it?  For those of you who have met your deductibles, now is the time to get in for therapy before your January deductibles start over.

Keep in mind that there is direct access for Physical Therapy.  What does this mean?  You can set up an appointment for PT without first seeing your doctor.  Start your road to recovery now!

Upcoming workshops:

Balance and Dizziness Workshop - Wednesday, November 19 at 6:30pm. Do you have a feeling of the room spinning?  Are you having difficulty with your balance?  This is the workshop for you!  Call to sign up for Zoom meeting or in person.

Low back workshop -  Thursday, December 17 at 6:30pm  Call to register if you have persistent low back pain or leg pain.

As winter approaches, it is very important for you to stay active daily for your health and wellness.  Follow these exercise tips/guidelines as you start or continue with your wellness plan.   Do 45 minutes of aerobic activity 4-5 times a week, this includes walking, biking, tai chi, swimming, jogging, etc.  It is also very important to keep your muscles and joints flexible and strong.  It is important to stretch 4-5 times a week and do strengthening exerises 4 times a week.   While having a strong fit body is important, it is just as important to have a good mental outlook.  This can be attained by performing medication or relaxing for 15-20 minutes a day.  Your program should be challenging, but should not cause pain.  If you need guidance with setting up a program, call our clinic today!
