My name is Kyle Phelps

Hello, My name is Kyle Phelps and I am an aide here at Physical Therapy Advantage and I wanted to take this time to tell you a little about myself.

I have been an aide here since 2010 and, like Josh, I attended North Central College. However, many people are surprised to hear that I did not graduate with a degree in pre-physical therapy or exercise science. I graduated from North Central this past year with a major in Social Studies/History and a minor in Secondary Education. During my time at North Central I played guard on the football team, right next to Josh for several games. My dream job would be to teach history in either a middle school or high school and to coach football in the fall.

I feel that the rewarding aspects of teaching are not very dissimilar from the rewarding aspects of physical therapy. Both professions offer gratification in the knowledge that you have indeed helped someone, while fostering growth and a greater knowledge or awareness about either history or body awareness. This facilitation of fulfillment is the reason why I genuinely enjoy my job. Working in such a fun environment with great therapists and clients definitely adds to the gratification I receive everyday at the clinic.

If you have any questions for me feel free to leave them in the comments section, otherwise drop by the clinic to say hello.
