Joe King

Physical Therapist; Certified Athletic Trainer

Education: Joe has a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from the University of Nebraska Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska-Medical Center.

Background: When deciding where to open his own practice, Joe King searched for an area where he could best apply his unique skill set. Having already worked in the western suburbs for more than 12 years, he realized he wouldn’t have to go far to find a home.  Now Joe has brought respected hands-on physical therapy services in a one-on-one setting to the Fox Valley since April of 2007.

Joe has 14 years of trusted experience treating collegiate and high school athletes, orthopaedic patients and pediatric clients in athletic medicine and outpatient physical therapy settings. He also has a special interest in pediatric sports medicine and functional foot orthotics. Joe’s abilities have no boundaries whether he is treating premature infants with special needs, or treating marathon runners.

Additional training: Joe also has reputable experience in Fabrication of Foot Orthotics, Myofascial Release, Cerebral Palsy, Running Techniques, Pediatric Milestones, Lower Back Dysfunction, Pediatric Sports Injuries, Shoulder Dislocations, Patella-Femoral and Lower Extremity Injuries, Mulligan Techniques and Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization (ASTYM).


 

Julie Crane 

Physical Therapist; Doctor of Physical Therapy

Education: Julie has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the Ola Grimsby Institute.

Background: Julie brings more than 15 years of experience to Physical Therapy Advantage since joining the team in March of 2009. She has worked in a variety of settings including out patient orthopaedics, inpatient acute care working primarily with joint replacements and neurological rehabilitation. Julie specializes in manual therapy using a variety of techniques  including ASTYM,  myofascial release, mobilization and strain counterstrain. Her manual training emphasizes exercise prescription. She also has experience in pilates which she incorporates into her practice. . Julie lives in North Aurora with her husband and three children.
